Abstract

The equipment inserts products or packets (3) in a freezer and passes them over horizontal plates in the latter, delivering them in a row sideways through the inlet. It comprises a set of U-shaped thrusters whose arms accommodate a row between them without these protruding beyond them, each moving both its own row and the one preceding it on a flat surface the two sets of items touching. The thrusters are indexed into a loading station at the level of the inlet where the items are formed into rows, and are then thrust over the horizontal surface into the freezer at set intervals. As they leave the freezer they are lifted clear and returned to the loading station.
