CONSISTE EN PONER EN CONTACTO LA MATERIA PRIMA, QUE CONTIENE LOS OXIDOS DE METALES DE IMPUREZA Y HIERRO, CON UN AGENTE DE CLORACION, TAL COMO CLORURODE MAGNESIO, EN ATMOSFERA OXIDANTE A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 900<025>C Y 1250<025>C, PARA CLORAR Y VOLATILIZAR LOS METALES DE IMPUREZA. EL PROCESO SE REALIZA INTRODUCIENDO LOS MATERIALES EN UN LECHO FLUIDIZADO SOBRE UNA PARRILLA INCLINADA Y PASANDO AIRE CALIENTE A TRAVES DE LA PARRILLA.
