Abstract
The tube end 1 is located around an induction coil 9 and within a die means 6, with the interposition of a reinforcing element 8. The coil 9 may be energised to effect deformation of the tube end 1 and the reinforcing element 8 simultaneously or consecutively, the electromagnetic force being of repulsion. However, the die means and the coil may be transposed and an attraction force may be used.
