UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE PIRROLIPIPERIDINAS DE FORMULA (I) O (II). SE PONE EN CONTACTO N-BUTIL-LITIO CON N-METIL-PIRROL DISUELTO EN UN DISOLVENTE INERTE, TAL COMO ETER DIETILICO. SE PONE EN CONTACTO LA SAL DE LITIO RESULTANTE CON 1-METIL-4-PIPERIDONA, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 0 Y 25 GRADOS CENTIGRADOS. SE RECUPERA EL 1-METIL-4-(1-METILPIRROL-2-IL)-4-PIPERIDINOL RESULTANTE PONIENDOLO EN CONTACTO CON UN AGENTE DESHIDRATANTE, TAL COMO SILICE, ALUMINA O UN SILICATO, PARA FORMAR 1,2-3-6-TETRAHIDRO-1-METIL-4-(1-METILPIRROL-2-IL)-PIRIDINA. SE UTILIZA COMO AGENTE ANTIDEPRESIVO.
