CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: 1) REACCION DEL CLORURO POTASICO Y ACIDO NITRICO EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO A UNA TEMPERATURA DE -25 A 10 GRADOS C. 2) SEPARAR LOS CRISTALES DE NITRATO POTASICO DE LA SALMUERA RESULTANTE CONTENIENDO K, CL, H Y NO3. 3) EXTRACTAR EL ACIDO NITRICO MEDIANTE UNA SOLUCION DISOLVENTE ORGANICA QUE CONTIENE CETONAS, POLIETERES, POLIALQUILENGLICOLES, ETERES ORGANICOS DE ACIDO FOSFORICO, ACIDO FOSFORICO O ACIDO FOSFINICO. 4) LAVAR EL EXTRACTO DISOLVENTE CARGADO DE NO3, SIENDO RECICLADO EL ACIDO NITRICO ACUOSO RECUPERADO EN LA PRIMERA ETAPA.
