Abstract
Cold box having the thermoelectric cooling system mounted in a hollow lid, and circulating chilled air through the body of the box with convection assistance, is provided with a lid having relatively sturdy ribs to support the components and to divide the lid cavity into upper and lower compartments which separate fresh and recycle air streams. Specifically sheets and blocks of polyurethane resin are used to support some of the components in the cooler lid. Part of the bulk of the insulation in the body of the lid may be of expanded polystyrene.
