EL MATERIAL ABLANDADO ES MOLIDO Y LOS SUBPRODUCTOS SEPARADOS, GERMENES, CASCARAS Y GLUTEN SON RECUPERADOS. LA SUSPENSION DE ALMIDON RESULTANTE ES LAVADA, EN VARIAS ETAPAS MEDIANTE UNA CIRCULACION DE AGUA EN CONTRACORRIENTE, PARA REDUCIR LOS NIVELES DE IMPUREZAS SOLUBLES E INSOLUBLES HASTA LOS VALORES DESEADOS. LA SUSPENSION DE ALMIDON RESULTANTE PUEDE SER DESHIDRATADA, DEPENDIENDO DE SU UTILIZACION PRETENDIDA, EN CUYO CASO EL AGUA ES RECIRCULADA A LA OPERACION DE LAVADO ANTERIOR.
