SE HACE REACCIONAR, A TEMPERATURA DE -20 A 80 C. Y PRESION NORMAL, CANTIDADES EQUIMOLARES DE UN ESTER DE ACIDO 3-ALQUENIL-2,2-DIMETIL-CICLOPROPAN-1-CARBOXILICO, DE FORMULA (II), Y BRIMO; EVENTUALMENTE, EN PRESENCIA DE UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO, INERTE FRENTE AL BROMO. SE LAVA LA SOLUCION DE REACCION CON AGUA. SE SEPARA EL DILUYENTE DE LA FASE ORGANICA POR DESTILACION A PRESION REDUCIDA, Y SE RECOGE EL PRODUCTO FINAL COMO RESIDUO DE LA DESTILACION.
