Abstract

The flexible bellows (3) to connect an underfloor air duct, has the bellows clamped to the underfloor motor, or component to be cooled, and with a floating flange (1) secured to the top of the bellows. The floating flange has a cross bar (22) which is gripped by a cable pull (20) winched up into the supply duct where it is secured against a sealing flange. The system allows secure connection of the bellows in a confined space, with no special access ports required. The sealing ring in the fixed duct is conical and provides automatic alignment for the fixed flange. The winch (8) is passed through the wall of the duct via a sealing flange.
