LA PLACA CIRCULAR TIENE EN SU CENTRO UN ORIFICIO (9) POR DONDE SE INYECTA EL LIQUIDO DENTRO DEL CONO DE EXTRUSION; UNA SERIE DE ORIFICIOS CIRCULARES DISTRIBUIDOS SOBRE SU SUPERFICIE (10) SIN QUE TOQUEN A SU ANILLO PERIMETRAL (12); Y DOCE ORIFICIOS PERIFERICOS (13) CUYOS BORDES EXTERNOS (14) SE SITUAN EN EL LADO INTERNO DEL ANILLO PERIMETRAL. EL DETERGENTE SOLIDO SE HACE PASAR A PRESION, A TRAVES DE LOS ORIFICIOS (11, 12) DE LA PLACA CIRCULAR (1), PROCEDENTE DEL CILINDRO EXTRUSOR, AL MISMO TIEMPO QUE SE INYECTA EL LIQUIDO COLOREADO POR EL ORIFICIO CENTRAL (9). LAS TIRAS DE DETERGENTE FORMADAS SON COMPRIMIDAS EN EL CONO DE EXTRUSION. EL DETERGENTE EXTRUIDO SE CORTA EN TROZOS QUE LUEGO SE ESTAMPAN.
