Abstract

Un método de adaptar un dispositivo auxiliar de audición por medio de una serie de señales de prueba acústicas de frecuencia y nivel sonoro variables, determinandose en función de la frecuencia el nivel sonoro que es, agradable al usuario del dispositivo auxiliar de audición y comparándose este nivel con la gama de niveles sonoros (nivel sonoro de referencia) que es agradable a personas con facultades de audición normales, después de lo cual se cambia la ganancia del dispositivo auxiliar de audición en función de la frecuencia de modo que el nivel sonoro que se ha encontrado que es agradable corresponda al nivel sonoro de referencia, caracterizado porque en primer lugar se presenta al usuario una señal de referencia de banda ancha de nivel constante predeterminado, porque se ajusta la ganancia del dispositivo auxiliar de audición de modo que el usuario justamente perciba la señal de referencia, porque se presenta al usuario a continuación una serie de señales de prueba de banda estrecha deal menos 70 mseg de duración y con un intervalo de al menos 150 mseg, siendo variables la frecuencia central y el nivel de dichas señales, y porque se determina el nivel sonoro agradable de estas señales de prueba en función de la frecuencia a un nivel constante de la señal de referencia.
