Abstract

A holder 11 for a stanchion 12 on the side edge of a load carrying platform 10 of a truck has said stanchion 12 locked to the holder 11 by at least one wedge-shaped locking member. The purpose of the invention is to provide a narrow but rigid holder 11 , which without increase in width, depth or length can be attached to the side edge of the platform. The new holder 11 comprises a mounting plate 13, which at one end is provided with a projecting hook 14 and at its opposite end is provided with upstanding longitudinal side-gables 15, at the free upper edges of which are arranged flanges 17 which are inclined relative to the mounting plate, said flanges 17 cooperating with wedge-shaped locking members 25 of the stanchion 12.
