Abstract

Procedimiento para variar la anchura de una barra colada durante la colada continua de acero en una coquilla de colada de barras con al menos un lado estrecho regulable, en el que se introduce en la coquilla una pieza de inserción de acero que forma en la barra colada una zona de transición fija hacia la nueva anchura de barra, caracterizado porque durante la colada se introduce en la coquilla una pieza de inserción de acero correspondiente aproximadamente al material de la barra desde una posición horizontal por encima de la coquilla, variando al propio tiempo la dirección en la zona de la pared regulable de la coquilla, hasta la inmersión parcial en la masa fundida, y se suelta entonces dicha pieza con la costra de la barra para formar una pared autoportante.
