Abstract

A solar heat collector casing is made of lightweight concrete of high heat insulation capacity, using lightweight aggregates. Such casings are easy to produce in cast moulds on vibrating tables. The casings combine good lagging with high load-bearing capacity and achieve service lives of ten years with ease. It has good weatherability and small thermal expansion. Such collectors are equally suitable for the low-temp. range as for the high-temp. range as spherical or polygonal recivers.
