Abstract

An electric motor for the cooling fan of a vehicle radiator is associated with an electronic speed-control device comprising electronic components (14), connected by and carried on the insulating plate (10) that carries the brushes engaging commutator (6) and also comprising a power transistor (11) provided with a heat-sink (13) constituted by the metal end-plate (5) of the motor. The end-plate (5) is formed with cooling fins (13). The conductors (18) of the transistor (11) are resiliently engaged in clips (16) on a plastics base (15) secured to the plate (10).
