Abstract

1. Un procedimiento de preparación de 2-isopropilamino- pirimidina de la fórmula: **(Fórmula I)** caracterizado porque: (a) se prepara una solución diluida de 2-amino-pirimidina de fórmula: **(Fórmula II)** en acetona acuosa y un ácido carboxílico orgánico; y (b) a la solución anterior se le añade lentamente, bajo agitación, una cantidad en exceso de borohidruro de metal alcalino, manteniéndose la temperatura en todo momento en un valor igual al del ambiente o preferiblemente algunos grados por debajo, con lo cual se origina una reacción de alcohilación reductora que da lugar a la formación del producto de fórmula I, que se aisla a continuación.
