Abstract

The piezoelectric igniter has cylindrical piezoelectric component able to pivot at one end. A long spark is generated by interaction of elastic piezoelectric element and a simple mechanism. The pivot element (50) of actuating lever is a cylinder with flat and curved sides. This element has transverse hole for holding end plug (27) of the piezoelectric unit (21) for stabilisation. Pivot element ends are stepped for connecting with the spread ends of the actuating lever (60). Spark is generated on releasing loaded lever.
