Abstract

Un aparato eléctrico para detectar partículas de tamaño inferior a la micra en un vehículo gaseoso, comprendiendo dicho aparato una sección de enriquecimiento en partículas que incluye una superficie de platino para que dicho vehículo gaseoso circule sobre ella con lo que el número de partículas de tamaño submicra en dicho vehículo gaseoso aumenta, una sección de mezcla y de ionización del gas unida de modo operable con dicha sección de enriquecimiento en partículas para recibir dicho vehículo gaseoso y las partículas enriquecidas con él, incluyendo dicha sección de mezcla y de ionización del gas medios que definen una cámara de retardo para recibir el gas portador de partículas y que incluye asimismo una fuente de radiación para efectuar la ionización del vehículo gaseoso, y una sección de detector unida de modo operable con dicha sección de mezcla y de gas para recibir el gas ionizado y las partículas arrastradas con él, incluyendo dicha sección de detector electrodos espaciados que tienen aplicado un voltaje y entre los cuales ocurre la circulación de corriente por medio del gas ionizado para producir una señal variable cuya magnitud es proporcional a la cantidad de partículas arrastradas.
