Abstract

The IC engine ignition distributor consists of a permanent magnet, a magnet wheel driven by a shaft, and two fixed poles on two sides of the wheel. The two poles are connected with each other by a magnetic core carrying a coil delivering ignition signals. At least one additional permanent magnet (9) is provided near one of the poles (4) and near the air-gap between this poles (4) and the pole wheel (1). The magnet (9) field of this second magnet forms in the air-gap an acute angle, pref. an angle zero, with the first permanent magnet's (8) field.
