Abstract

Un dispositivo de respuesta térmica para la protección de motores que comprende: una caja de alojamiento, eléctrica y térmicamente conductiva, de forma de copa dotada de una extremidad abierta, un elemento bimetálico eléctricamente conductivo y capaz de responder térmicamente, asegurado por uno de sus extremos a la caja de modo que se extiende en voladizo desde ésta en el interior de la caja, llevando dicho elemento un contacto móvil en su extremidad distante y estando destinado a moverse desde una primera posición hasta una segunda posición en respuesta al calentamiento del elemento a una temperatura seleccionada y una placa metálica colectora o distribuidora , eléctrica y térmicamente conductiva, asegurada en relación de cierre hermético respecto a la caja sobre la extremidad abierta de ésta, llevando dicha placa una abertura, habiendo un terminal de espiga de un diámetro seleccionado que se extiende a través de dicha abertura, con un contacto complementario, de un diámetro relativamentemayor que el diámetro del terminal de espiga, fijado a uno de los extremos del terminal de espiga por uno de los lados de la placa para recibir en contacto cooperativo de aplicación el contacto móvil con el fin de cerrar un circuito entre el terminal de espiga y la placa cuando el elemento bimetálico está en su primera posición y separarse del contacto móvil con el fin de abrir dicho circuito cuando el elemento bimetálico se halla en su segunda posición, y teniendo un material de cierre hermético de vidrio, eléctricamente aislante, unido por fusión al terminal de espiga y a la placa dentro de la abertura de la placa con el fin de cerrar herméticamente la abertura y asegurar el terminal de espiga en la abertura, teniendo dicha abertura de la placa un diámetro relativamente mayor que el de dicho contacto complementario de modo que dicho material de cierre hermético de vidrio proporciona una distancia de separación eléctrica seleccionada entre el contacto complementario y la placa
