Un dispositivo para encoger hilos, en el que los hilos procedentes de una reserva de hilo con conducidos por un primer mecanismo de entrega a un dispositivo de tratamiento térmico y, desde allí y por medio de un segundo mecanismo de entrega, pasando por una zona de enfriamiento, a un dispositivo de tratamiento térmico comprende varios tubos caloríficos yuxtapuestos y poleas de inversión soportadas en cada caso de forma giratoria en sus extremos, destinadas a hacer pasar los hilos que han de ser encogidos, a elección a través de uno o de varios de estos tubos.
