Abstract
Se provee un mecanismo para desacelerar selectivamente i/o automáticamente e invertir positivamente la dirección normal de rotación de un eje giratorio. El mecanismo incluye un miembro que engrana mediante dientes con un eje accionado por un accionamiento de una sola dirección, como el eje de entrada de una transmisión de inversión de marcha accionada por un motor diesel, y es accionable para desacelerar el eje y girar positivamente el eje en la dirección opuesta de rotación.
