Abstract

Procedimiento para controlar el flujo de aire de un ventilador centrífugo, caracterizado porque comprende: (a) proporcionar a un ventilador centrífugo con paletas aguas arriba de un impulsor del ventilador, accionar dicho impulsor mediante un motor eléctrico que tiene un circuito de control de la velocidad que incluye medios para convertir las pérdidas por deslizamiento en energía primaria acoplada a dicho motor; (b) controlar el flujo de aire del ventilador centrífugo cambiando solamente la velocidad del impulsor del ventilador cuando el flujo es superior al flujo correspondiente a un punto de cruce predeterminado; (c) proporcionar a dichas paletas con una gama operativa de ajuste de modo que las paletas estén completamente abiertas en dicho punto de cruce; y (d) controlar el flujo de aire del ventilador centrífugo cuando la velocidad de flujo es inferior a la correspondiente a dicho punto de cruce, cambiando solamente la posición de las paletas, mientras se mantiene constante la velocidad del impulsor y correspondiente a la velocidad del impulsor en dicho punto de cruce.
