Abstract
Procedimiento para la purificación biológica de agua residual, en una instalación depuradora con dos etapas, bajo suministro de oxígeno, en que en la primera etapa, en esencia se descomponen materias orgánicas de suciedad y en la segunda etapa se oxidan, esencialmente, compuestos inorgánicos de nitrógeno, caracterizado porque, en la segunda etapa, se introduce oxígeno o un gas con alto contenido de oxígeno y, desde la segunda etapa, se extrae una corriente de gas de salida, rica en oxígeno y se suministra a la primera etapa, en lo que la corriente de gas de salida, extraída desde la segunda etapa, está dimensionada de tal modo que el consumo de oxígeno de la primera etapa se cubra total o, por lo menos, predominantemente.
