Abstract

Procedimiento de extracción de uranio a partir de ácido fosfórico de vía húmeda, según el cual se trata el ácido previamente oxidado con un disolvente orgánico constituido por una mezcla de ácido dialquilo fosfórico, en particular, el ácido di(2-etilhexil) fosfórico y de óxido de traialquifosfina en particular el óxido de tri-n-octilfosfina, en solución en un disolvente inerte no reactivo a fin de obtener ácido fosfórico desuraniado y un extracto orgánico constituido por el disolvente que contiene la mayor parte del uranio, después se separa el uranio del extracto en forma de uranilo tricarbonato de amonio por reacción con el amoníaco y el carbonato de amonio, y se vuelve a tratar el extracto desuraniado en la etapa de extracción caracterizado por el hecho de que se trata el extracto en un aparato de reextracción que incluye al menos 2 etapas, preferentemente 3 etapas, se introduce el extracto que hay que tratar al principio de la primera etapa, se introduce al final de la primera etapa a contra-corriente, amoníaco en forma de gas o en solución acuosa, controlando el pH de la primera etapa a fin de mantenerlo en un valor de 8,0 a 8,5, se inyecta al final de la primera etapa una solución acuosa de carbonato de amonio en cantidad que represente del 50 al 80% de la cantidad estequiométrica necesaria para neutralizar el ácido dialquilfosfórico contenido en el disolvente y transformar el uranio en uranilo tricarbonato de amonio y se regenera el disolvente amoniado obtenido después de reextracción por tratamiento con ácido antes de devolver a tratar en la etapa de extracción.
