Abstract

UN procedimiento para la fabricación de formas de moldeo de fundición que comprenden composición de aglutinantes que contiene: (a) hidrógeno fosfato de aluminio borado que contiene una relación molar de fósforo con respecto a aluminio de aproximadamente 2:1 hasta 5:1 y desde aproximadamente 3 hasta 40 mol por ciento de boro basado sobre los moles de aluminio, (b) agua, y © agente de curado que comprende amoniaco o una amina, (d) opcionalmente , un compuesto de metal alcalinotérreo ; (e) opcionalmente un fosfato de metal y; (f) opcionalmente un alcohol polihídrico y/o un ácido carboxílico orgánico sólido, un fosfato de metal en donde la cantidad de fosfato de alumino es de aproximadamente 50 a 95% en peso basado sobre el peso total del fosfato de aluminio y el agua, y la cantidad de agua es desde aproximadamente 5 hasta 50% en peso basado sobre el peso total del fosfato de aluminio y el agua, cuyo procedimiento comprende: (i) hacer reaccionar un reactivo que contiene óxido de aluminio en unafuente de ácido fosfórico y una fuente de boro; (ii) opcionalmente, combinar el producto de la etapa anterior, con un compuesto de metal alcalinotérreo; (iii) opcionalmente, combinar el producto de la etapa (i) o (ii) con un alcohol polihídrico y/o un ácido carboxílico orgánico sólido; (iv) opcionalmente, combinar con un fosfato de metal; (v) curar el compuesto obtenido en cualquiera de las etapas anteriores con amoníaco o una amina (B) introducir la composición de aglutinante de fundición obtenida en la etapa a) en un patrón y © curar la composición de fundición haciendo fluir un gas de cura seleccionado del grupo formado por amoníaco y aminas gaseosas a través de dicha composición de fundición por un tiempo al menos suficiente para que la composición se convierta en auto-consistente; opcionalmente, purgar haciendo fluir un gas de purga, separar el molde de fundición así obtenido y , si se desea, hornear.
