Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar un producto ininflamable e incombustible a base de un material inestable frente al fuego revestido con un material polímero, procedimiento que comprende revestir un material inestable frente al fuego con un material de revestimiento polímero que es capaz de hincharse a una temperatura incipiente baja comprendida entre aproximadamente 75ºC y aproximadamente 150ºC por aplicación se llama o calor, por lo cual dicho material de revestimiento se hincha notablemente para formar una barrera de espuma aislante del calor sobre dicho material inestable frente al fuego, convirtiéndose dicha barrera de espuma aislante del calor después de ello en una escoria o residuo poroso como consecuencia de la aplicación continuada de llama o calor durante un tiempo apreciable, siendo dicho residuo no inflamable, teniendo un poder aislante y una resistencia a la llama adecuados para impedir la inflamación y la degradación térmica usual del material inestable frente al fuego.
