Abstract
Solar energy collector has an element covered by transparent sheath and mounted in an insulated enclosure. The element provides multiple internal reflections and has a large number of passages through it. This provides a large surface area to a medium being warmed by passage through it. The passages in the element induce turbulence in the flowing medium. It is formed from a series of corrugated sheets or lamellae placed against each other. In this way passages are created down the sheets along the troughs etc. Used to provide a means of recovering solar energy. The collector gives an improved recovery efficiency compared with flat elements by transfer to liquid or gaseous media.
