Abstract

sulphide of formula (I) is new (I) is a pest control agent, and is a stronger acaricide than 2,4,5-trichlorophenylazo-4-chlorophenyl sulphide (TCS) (I) is effective against phosphate-resistant tetranychidae and is more easily degradable than TCS. (I) is prepd. by diazolising 2,5-dichloro-4-bromoaniline in aq. HCl suspension and then reacting the diazo cpd. with a salt (pref. alkali metal salt) of 4-chlorothiophenol).
