1475969 N - (1,2,2,2 - Tetrachloroethyl)- formimidoyl chloride BAYER AG 24 Oct 1975 [12 Dec 1974] 43757/75 Heading C2C The novel compound N-(1,2,2,2-tetrachloroethyl) -formimidoyl chloride, CCl 3 CHClN = CHCl, is prepared by treating CCl 3 CHXNHCHO where X is OH or Cl with at least the stoichiometric quantity of PCl 5 , an equimolar mixture of PCl 5 and Cl 2 , or thionyl chloride to which 0À01 to 10% by volume of an N-alkyl aliphatic acid amide has been added.
