Abstract

Procedimiento para la obtención de ácido acrílico o ácido metacrílico, que comprende hacer reaccionar acroleína o metacroleína con oxígeno molecular, opcionalmente en presencia de vapor de agua, a una temperatura de aproximadamente 200º a aproximadamente 500ºC, empleando una composición de catalizador que incluye un complejo de óxido de molibdeno y vanadio y elementos adicionales y que corresponde a la fórmula empírica MoaVbCcXdYeOx en donde C es un elemento seleccionado del grupo que consta de antimonio, germanio o wolframio.
