Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar compuestos de organoestaño tetrasustituidos que resultan útiles para controlar insectos y plagas y como herbicidas. Se reconoce que las actividades insecticidas, acaricidas y herbicidas de los compuestos de la invención se derivan del segmento trimetilestaño de la molécula, es decir (CH3)3Sn-. El grado y naturaleza de actividad de estos compuestos se ve afectado también por aquella porción de la molécula que contiene el radical -(CH2)nCHX como, por ejemplo, fitotoxicidad a plantas beneficiosas, actividad herbicida hacia plantas nocivas, obsorción y translocación en plantas, retención en la tierra, toxicidad oral y/o térmica para mamíferos, control de propiedades físicas tales como volatilidad y solubilidad, estabilidad hidrolítica y/o oxidativa, sensibilidad a los rayos ultravioletas solares, fácil entrada en la cadena alimenticia, degradación por microorganismos y/o formas superiores de vida y formulación práctica y una velocidad de aplicación de utilidad.
