Abstract

Un método mejorado para la fabricación de una preforma de fibra óptica la cual comprende el recubrimiento del orificio del tubo substrato de sílice con una ó más capas por reacción con vapor químico para producir una estructura que, cuando su orificio se haya deformado, constituya una preforma de guía de ondas óptica, de calentamiento del tubo recubierto y deformación de su orificio y de desprendimiento de una parte de la varilla así formada por calentamiento a una temperatura en la que el material se pierde por volatilización, aumentándose de este modo la relación del material depositado por reacción al material del substrato de la preforma de fibra.
