Abstract

Un procedimiento para la obtención de 2,5-dimetil-benzo [b]tieno[2,3-f] morfano de formula (**formula**) caracterizado porque en una primera etapa de síntesis se hace reaccionar el cloruro de 3-benzo [b] tienilmetilmagnesio obtenido en condiciones de alta dilución y en atmósfera inerte con el yoduro de 1,4-dimetilpiridinio -4 en el seno de eter anhidro mantenido a la temperatura de reflujo, con lo que se obtiene el intermedio 2-(3-benzo[b]tienilmetil)-1,4-nimetil-1,2-hidropiridina, que sin posterior purificación se hace reaccionar en medio básico, por ejemplo de hidróxido sodico, con tetrahidruro de boro y sodio en disolución acuosa.-metanolica, conduciendo a una mezcla de 2-(3-benzo-[b]tienilmetil)-1,4-dimetil-1,2,3,6-tetrahidropiridina, de formula (II) y 2-(3-benzo [b]tienilmetil)-1,4dimetil-1,2,5,6-tetrahidropiridina.
