Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar un polvo de alúmina de tipo beta, muy fluido y vertible, a partir de una suspensión estabilizada de material de alúmina de tipo beta que tiene una viscosidad prolongada de baja a moderada, compatible con los requerimientos de formación de cerámica en procesos, en los que la viscosidad de suspensiones de alúmina de tipo beta convencionales es demasiado alta para producir una suspensión capaz de ser trabajada para el proceso particular, caracterizado porque polvo de alúmina de tipo beta, que ha sido calcinado y apropiadamente desaglomerado, se incorpora por mezclar en un líquido adecuado para suspender un polvo de alúmina de tipo beta sin provocar un efecto adverso sustancial sobre la utilidad química del polvo como material formador de cerámica de alúmina de tipo beta.
