Abstract
Método y aparato para la manipulación continua de escorias, a temperaturas y presiones elevadas a medida que es descargada de un horno, método caracterizado porque comprende las fases de enfriar la escoria pasándola hacia abajo mediante una columna vertical de agua contenida en un deposito de enfriamiento por un trituradora, un primer recipiente y segundo recipiente en este orden fracturar la escoria en el deposito de enfriamiento; triturar la escoria fracturada en la trituradora; acumular la escoria triturada en el segundo recipiente; aliviar la presión en el segundo recipiente al mismo tiempo que se le aísla del primer recipiente, retirar la escoria acumulada en el segundo recipiente mientras se va acumulando nueva escoria en el primer recipiente siendo los recipientes aislados entre sí; introducir agua en el segundo recipiente durante la operación citada de retirar la escoria acumulada.
