Abstract

Procedimiento y dispositivo para llevar a efecto el crecimiento de las partículas suspendidas en una corriente de líquido; como el preparativo para realizar la subsiguiente separación de las partículas crecidas de este líquido, siendo conducido el flujo del líquido a través de un canal bien definido, mientras que el promedio de la velocidad de este flujo está siendo mantenido durante todo el tratamiento, a un valor tal que sustancialmente todas las partículas son arrastradas a lo largo de la corriente, siendo el tiempo que permanecia dentro de la mencionada corriente tal que se consigue el crecimiento de las partículas por medio de la coalescencia de las mismas como una consecuencia de diferencias de velocidad entre las partículas caracterizados porque el canal forma un ángulo con la dirección vertical y el mismo va dirigido, en particular, en sentido horizontal, manteniéndose la velocidad lineal del flujo más reducida que la velocidad del flujo a la que el crecimiento de las partículas esanulado por fuerzas de cizallamiento que se producen como consecuencia del gradiente de la velocidad en el flujo.
