Abstract
System for the production of direct current in electrolytic processes, essentially characterized in that, starting from a three-phase alternating current network, a complete wave rectifier governed by thyristors is applied to each of the phases in a mixed-series parallel system. The peculiarity that the thyristors trigger at the zero level and conduct within an angle less than 90º and close to this amplitude, obtaining within each half period a voltage of increasing value during an interval and of zero value in the rest of the half period, it being foreseen that each determined number of half periods will cause a pause during another determined number of semiperiods that is a function of the electrolyte that is applied.
