Abstract

Un protector, en general tubular, perfeccionado, para almacenar células de combustible nuclear gastadas, radiactivas, en estanques, siendo dicho protector de sección transversal uniforme, comprendiendo dicho protector un tubo exterior, un tubo interior dentro de dicho tubo exterior, formando dichos tubos paredes laterales interior y exterior espaciadas entre sí de dicho protector, y dimensionado para proporcionar un espaciamiento uniforme entre las paredes laterales interior y exterior del mismo, y material de panel de absorción de neutrones que llena sustancialmente los espacios entre las paredes laterales interior y exterior de dicho protector, estando las paredes laterales de dichos tubos en contacto de presión con los lados de dichos paneles.
