Abstract
Un tensor para cadenas transmisoras, que se caracteriza por estar formado por una rueda dentada, de piñones coincidentes con las entremallas de la cadena que debe tensar, cuyo eje se halla mantenido por los extremos de una pieza horquillada, la cual, por medio de otro eje, se hace solidaria de un bastidor que se afianza al lugar oportuno del cuadro de la máquina, experimentando la rueda dentada, una fuerza impulsora hacia arriba, por medio de la existencia de un resorte de muelle de compresión, que une el eje de la horquilla con el extremo del bastidor, en tensión constante que recibe la cadena.
