Abstract

Procedure for the preparation of sheets of cellulose paper coupled with films of thermoplastic polymeric material, characterized in that in its implementation it comprises, in the order shown, the following operations: a) formation of a panel composed of at least two superimposed fibrous layers, each consisting, at least prevalently, of cellulosic fibers and fibrils or microfibres of thermoplastic synthetic polymers, respectively, obtained by successive layering of pulp or dispersions aqueous of said fibers and fibrils; b) reduction of the water content of the panel until reaching amounts between 30% and 80% by weight, by means of suction and/or compression; c) drying the panel to a moisture content of less than 0.5% by weight; and d) heating the panel to a temperature above the softening temperature of the thermoplastic polymer, under pressure.
