Abstract
Procedure for the production of energy by means of a gas turbine equipped with a combustion chamber and an expansion turbine, consisting of: (1) react a hydrocarbon fuel with a free oxygen-containing gas by partial oxidation in the presence of a temperature moderator in the reaction zone of a non-catalytic free-flowing gas generator at an autogenous temperature included in the range of 816 at 1,928ºC (1,500 to 3,500ºF) and with a pressure included between approximately 10 and 180 absolute atmospheres to produce an effluent gas stream made up of mixtures of H2, CO, CO2, and H2O and one or more elements from group N2, CH4, COS, H2S, and Ar, and carbon particles, the dry molar ratio (CO/H2) of the effluent gas from the generator being at least 0.30; (2) cooling the effluent gas from (1) and introducing the cooled gas into a gas cleaning and purification zone and obtaining separately starting from this, a stream of clean fuel gas, consisting of mixtures of H2 and CO and one or various elements of the group including N2, CH4, CO2 and H2O; and a stream of CO2-rich gas; a sludge stream consisting of carbon particles in a liquid vehicle; and a stream of gas rich in H2S and COS; (3) introducing into the combustion chamber of a gas turbine and burning in it the stream of clean fuel gas from phase (2) with a stream of oxidizing gas produced later in the process to obtain a stream of fuel gas cleansed; and (4) pass the stream of clean fuel gas from phase (3) through an expansion turbine as a working fluid to develop energy and produce clean fuel gas that escapes from the turbine, and thereby mix minus a part of said clean exhaust fuel gas with a gas containing free oxygen to obtain the oxidation current of phase (3).
