Abstract

Improvements in devices for the launching of underwater exploration machines, of the type that includes two branches that are joined by a joint, that are movable between an open and a closed position in which they are substantially superimposed and that are shaped so as to form, close to the joint, at least one starting hook open when said branches are in the open position and closed when these branches are in the closed position, characterized in that said devices further comprise, in combination, a transverse arm provided with a counterweight in one portion extreme and articulated in the other on one of said branches, this arm being movable between a blocking position in which it is substantially perpendicular to said branches and a firing position in which it is folded towards said joint, a stop made up of a U-section flange that is made in the extreme portion of said arm transverse opposite to said counterweight and a retaining member corresponding to the stop, constituted by the extreme portion of that of the aforementioned branches on which said transverse arm is not articulated, to come in adjustment with said stop when the arm is in position lock and thus be released when the arm is in the firing position, means for attaching to at least one float a point of said transverse arm located between said counterweight and the point where the arm is articulated on one of said branches, and, to lock said articulated branches in a closed position, a pin made of a water-soluble product and passing through two holes provided in the branches, these holes facing each other when the branches are in the closed position.
