Abstract
Apparatus for stripping insulation from an end portion of a pair of insulated wires that are helically twisted around one another, the apparatus comprising a pair of strips of stripping insulation provided with cutting edges of the insulation and mounted to effect movement between an open cable receiving position and a closed insulation cutting position, characterized by a cable clamp separate from one side of the blades in substantial alignment with the cutting edges, and means for performing relative rotation between the blades and the cable clamp around an axis that extends between the cutting edges and usually the faces of the blades.
