Abstract

Un método de preparar vidrio para la envlvente de tubos de rayos catódicos para imágenes de televisión, destinado especialmente para el cono y la placa frontal de un tubo para imágenes monocromáticas , que comprenden fundir una mezcla de dióxido de silicio, óxido alcalino, oxido de bario , oxido de zirconio y óxidos de arsénico y/o de antimonio, o compuestos mutuos de los óxidos mencionados en cantidades tales que se obtenga un vidrio, dentro del siguiente margen de composiciones en % en peso: SiO2, 64-67, NaO, 6-10,K2O5-9, juntos 13-17, BaO 9-14; SrO, 0-6, ZrO2, 2-6, juntos 2-8; [BaO]+2[SrO]+2[ZrO]>=18; Al2O3, 0-1; As2O3+Sb2O3,0,4-0,8; F0,3-1,5
