Abstract
Process for the production of bis-basic ethers of 2,6- and 2,7-dihydroxiantraquinones, characterized in that a compound of the formula is reacted: **(See formula)** wherein the hydroxy compounds are in the 2,6- or 2,7- positions with a compound chosen from the group consisting of **(See formula)** in the presence of a base, where X is a reactive halogen atom and R3, R4 and A are as defined in claim 1, with the requirement that (I) when the compound having the formula **(See formula)** is reacted with the compound having the formula X-A-X the product of this reaction is reacted with a compound having the formula **(See formula)** (II) when the compound having the formula **(See formula)** is reacted with the compound having the formula X-A-OH the product of this reaction is reacted with a compound chosen from the group consisting of SOCl2, SOBr2, HCl or HBr and the product of this reaction is reacted with a compound of the formula (see formula) (Machine-translation by Google Translate, not legally binding)
