Improvements in splice constructions to provide a continuity of electrical conductivity, from one tape to the next, of the type in which each tape comprises a metallic strip and plastic coating on both sides of the metallic strip to protect said metallic strip from corrosion characterized in that said splice constructions comprise end portions of the tapes overlapping each other and with confronting faces in the overlap or overlap, protruding metal elements extending from the strip on the confronting face of a tape to the strip of the confronting face of the other tape to provide a continuous electrical circuit between the strips of the tapes, said projecting elements passing through the coatings of the confronting faces of the overlapping parts of the tapes.
