Device for charging a battery of accumulators that serves as an emergency power supply to be used in case of failure of a normal supply network, constituted from an alternating network, associated with a charger that has input terminals connected to said network alternating and output terminals connected to said battery, said charger having a fast charge regime and a slow charge regime, an accumulator-memory of small capacity with respect to that of the accumulator battery, which can be charged from the battery of accumulators during the periods of interruption of the alternating network, and that activates, during the time of their discharge, in a discharge circuit the fast charge regime of the accumulator battery, whose device is characterized by including means for preparing a voltage proportional to the current supplied by the battery to the utilization device, an electronic direct current amplifier ua for the amplification of this voltage, and means for its conversion into a direct load current whose intensity is proportional to this voltage even for low values of this voltage, said direct load current passing through said memory-accumulator in order to charge it proportionally to the current supplied by the battery of accumulators and only when current is supplied to the use.
