Abstract

Novel, therapeutic and herbicidal compounds I (including cis-A, cis-B, trans-C and trans-D compounds and salts, solvates, N-oxides and salts thereof) where n is 1 to 4, R 1 is H, C 1-16 alkyl, phenalkyl, C 1-16 alkanoyl, benzoyl, phenacetyl, p-(CH 2 ) 3 . CO.C 6 H 4 .F, p-SO 2 .C 6 H 4 .NH 2 , alkyl- or dialkylaminoalkyl, or unsubstituted or mono- or polyalkyl-substituted pyrrolidino-, piperidino-, morpholino-, piperazino-, or hexamethyleneiminoalkyl, R 2 is or O =, R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are H, OH, halogen, C 1-6 alkyl, alkoxy and alkanoyloxy, or CF 3 and R 6 is are obtained by cyclizing compounds III or V and, if desired, reducing oxazepinones obtained (by cyclizing V) to afford the corresponding oxazepine this procedure gives rise to I in which R 1 is H-standard methods are utilized for preparing I in which R 1 is other than H, e.g. alkylation, acetylation and reduction substituents symbolized as R 3 , R 4 and R 5 can, if appropriate, be converted one into the other and I wherein R 1 is -SO 2 .C 6 H 4 .NH 2 is obtained by reducing the corresponding nitro compound. An electrocardiographic jelly comprises a quaternary ammonium salt of I, glycerol, starch and water.
