Abstract

An animal feed is obtained by adding sodium chloride to a liquid brewery residue, which contains 12-15% by weight of the solids in the residue of strains of the yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae in suspension, and autolysing the residue, preferably at 32-26 C., until the yeast has been consumed. Preferably 3.5-4.0 kg. per 100 litres residue of sodium chloride is employed.
